Tsunade is a real 'gangsta'

In the course of a regular day....

She has to decide what to do about outright enemies (Akatsuki).  She's commanding her army in dealing with this threat.

At the same time, she has to balance the standard diplomacy of other organizations, who would screw her and try to take over her shit/clientele if they saw the slightest hint of weakness. (other hidden villages)

All the while, she's even gotta watch her back at home because of backstabbing fools there that want what she has and are just waiting to catch her off guard so they can take her spot as top dog. (Danzou and Root)

Now that is truly a day in the life of a real G.  Everyone's wants to interfere with yours and take your piece of the pie.  Gotta stay at least one step ahead of the game.

Yes, a Hokage's job isn't easy. Tsunade was always tired in the beginning because of this. However, if you wanted to put it in quot;thosequot; terms describing Tsunade, I wouldn't call her a quot;gangstaquot; but the quot;OGquot; of Konoha.

OG just means original Gangsta...term used for older people in the game or those that had survived it and retired.  Sandaime would've been classified as this since he was a Hokage for so long.  

So I guess I'll just take your post to mean that you agree.

All those things are trademarks of the leader of a mercenary force, not a gangsta. When she deals crack kids and sells women into sex slavery she'll be a gangsta. It's not a lifestyle one should aspire to.

Not true.  Some of the most glorified 'gangstas' in history and fiction weren't into that.  Look at Paulie from Goodfellas (true story) and Vito Corleone (the Godfather), neither of them were into dealing drugs at all let alone to kids and both forbid their subordinates from getting involved with it.

You just have one idea of being a 'gangsta'  There's more to it.  

However, one in our world should not aspire to thriving through the expertise of executing illegal activities...It's irrelevant in this case because in our world we tend not to overtly train children to kill each other, or breathe fire for that matter.  Perhaps this is another example of imposing your own standards of culture onto another...gotta watch out for that.

Before I start, you should know that I hate the phrase 'gangsta'.

I doubt anyone with real connections in that sense would ever call themselves a 'gangsta'; they would call themselves businessmen. People who call themselves 'gangsta's are usually lower-rung pimps and drug dealers (or people who aspire to do this. God knows why). They're the ones who get caught, arrested or shot, and then make an album about it. The people who made a fortune out of organised crime practically never had anyone bring any evidence to prove they had anything to do with it. They were pretty much invincible, unless someone involved with them turns informant (in the case of the real life 'Goodfellas')

I do agree though, that Tsunade is Don of Konoha. I just wouldn't use the colloquialism 'gangsta'.

It was necessary to convey the idea that I set forth.  Not everyone here, as you can see from some of the above posts, truly comprehend the difference.
