Summoning Scrolls in an Interview with Kishimoto
I remember a long, long time ago the concept of summoning scrolls being a possibility in the future from an interview with Kishimoto that someone was so kind enough to translate and post here. In this chapter, we saw Suigetsu unwind a scroll with the same seal insignia that is on Sasuke's arm. He then popped open a bottle of what appears to be blood in order to complete the summoning ritual. Two questions:
1. Who's blood was that in the container?
2. Is it now possible to summon these great beings without necessarily signing a scroll provided you have the proper items? For reference ictures:
Sasukes probably, seeing as he is the only one alive with a snake summoning contract. So with the use of Sasukes blood, the only living contract holder, Suigetsu was able to summon Manda.
Sasuke could set up a rent-a-manda bussiness by selling his blood to people in dire need of huge snakes.

Not anymore, Manda is dead now, there's no way for him to set up a business, no one wants a giant dead snake.

Good Decorations?
Gamabunta could finally get his snake-skin wallet.

Sasuke can sell Manda's body on whatever the narutoverse's version of E-Bay is. Gamabunta may be taking a look online for a suitable snake skin for a wallet he wanted ever since the Sannin fight.
We already have seen this in Konoha's invasion arc. Remember the three headed snake? Was summoned by Orochimaru's underlings from a scroll.
Or in the sannin battle. The blood was Oro's but it was Kabuto who was doing the seals. |
