The Five Akatsuki members could be the sound 5, i mean if it isnt a new character then its def. the sound 5. Where else did we see 5 members with one fatso.

The Sound 5 are DEAD, were never associated with Pein or Akatsuki, and are fodder compared to the power of charcters in part 2.

Its atleast better than the other crap like zetsu is the fat one.

They are dead, but they can be controlled by pein as demonstrated in latest chapter

The only Oto nin worthy of mention is Kimimaro. If its not him, then I wouldn't want to see those guys again. They are 1000X weaker than the shinobi now, Lee would beat them all in 2.4 seconds.
