Himmel: Deception City (A Naruto Alternate Universe RP)

Oh yes, it's one of those. A new modern-AU RPG with a (hopefully) compelling plot and many character slots available.
First of all, as mentioned before, this is a modern-AU RPG. The characters still have all their ninja abilities, but the setting is a modern city (which means things like cars, guns, and fast food, oh yes). We have many character slots available and we do accept original/fan characters.

There is an application process where you submit your character's profile and a sample post requirement, but nothing too extravagant. The rules are fairly simple and the RPG itself has a plot to keep things moving. This is not a stats-based game, so you need not worry about anything like that. All we ask are for serious members with some creativity and competence in writing.

i dont think your RPG will succeed, ninja's in a city like new york? well interesting idea but further no... maybe if you get a banner and a skin you could attract people  to join

Oh, there's more to it than just ninja in a city.  We tried to design it so that there's actually be intrigue as each of the major contenders tries to sway those unaffiliated to one side or the other.  Plus, the very cryptic references to Akatsuki lingering about will come into play later on.

While a banner is definitely a good idea, I'm not sure a skin has as much impact.  Now, I might just be saying that because I have no idea how I'd make one, but I think the concept is interesting (as you yourself said) enough to draw people in without needing to rely upon visuals to catch the eye.  Nonetheless, a banner would do nicely.

hehe, i know what you mean though, the most succesfull forums have other skins but not all...so it's not a must...

Get a banner, and a nice skin.

hes right you know^^

Y'know, I have to ask, do you really think that appearance is why a game does or does no succeed?  I understand that catching interest can be helpful for a game, but do you both feel that the merit of a game depends solely upon its appearance?

well thats what most people look at before joining
